Prompt #24, the one where we go neutral!

Well its that time again!! Another prompt accomplished and another one up on the plate. Once again we want to thank all of you for participating. I hope our news print prompt inspired all of you to dig into yesterday's paper and take it to a whole new level! Possibilities are endless and what a very green way to create:) All of you who played along have inspired me, have inspired all of us, so thank you.

But of course as always we can only pick one winner, which by the way is a very hard thing to do. Well without further wait...................................................

Text ColorCongratulations Irma!! We love how you incorporated news print into your layout:) Please email me(Patty) at Thecreativetype@Hotmail.com so I can pass along your mailing address to our sponsor, Judean.

I am very excited about our next challenge and all that it involves , the guest designer and the wonderful prize!! Also lets not forget the prompt it self, because I have to tell you, it is a challenging one.

Lets go neutral.

neu⋅tral

[noo-truhl, nyoo-]
(of a color or shade)

a. gray; without hue; of zero chroma; achromatic
b. matching well with many or most colors or shades, as white or beige.

Lets see what you can come up with when you limit your self to only neutrals.

Our guest designer is Lara from the oh so lovely and oh so creative Gauche Alchemy design team. Be sure to stop on over and see all of the wonderful kits they put together for sale and also be sure to check in and see what the design team conjures up to help get you inspired!!!

Here is a little blurb about them and what they offer:

"Discover the secret that every great scrapbooker, cardmaker, memory- keeper and mixed media artist knows. Whether you are new to the process or have already discovered the joy and flexibility inherent in a varied stash of inspiring supplies, Gauche Alchemy is here to feed your art and soul – a friendly push from your personal muse!

Whether you're into home decor, mail art, or journaling, you'll find your place within our supportive community of like-minded artists. Our focus is found obj ects, paper art, and vintage ephemera, with a particular enthusiasm for upcycling.
Our limited themed kits and continuously-available variety kits incorporate the best of our ideas and finds, as well as newly-manufactured supplies by the best names in the business. Each one is sure to jostle your creativity with unique tid-bits, coordinated colors and delicious textures."

"I'm Lara! I live in atlanta with my two doggies... by day I do graphic art and have somewhat of a soft spot for all things fonts. By night I prefer to work with paper and glue rather than mouse and keyboard. I am on both the Gutter Girlz design team and the Gauche Alchemy design team. This year I'm also uber excited to be a guest host for A Year in the Life of an Art
Journal- a project that saved/changed my life last year. I appear to find most of my inspiration from "found objects" like hardware on the sid ew alk, foreign text newspapers, envelopes, buttons that fall
off my clothes, porch screen, duct tape, freecycle ... ok,
free stuff :) xoxo Thanks Creative Type for letting me share what fulfills me the most! xoxo"

Lara came up with one beautiful wall hanging she calls her C reativity Feng Shui Piece and she did it using one of the Gauche Alchemy kits(Banana Hammock kit and the Wedding night kit). We just love what she did with their kits and our prompt.

The Gauche Alchemy was so very generous to sponsor this challenge as well. One lucky winner will win both the Scarlet fever and the Pink part kits which are just in time for Valentines day.

Lara was nice enough to put together another project showing you what you can do with these two kits, thank you Lara!

Now lets see what the Typists came up with!!

Congratulations Irma! I have to admit, this is my favorite one as well, nobody used the newspaper quite as perfect as you did!

my friend leah told me about your site, and she was SO RIGHT--i ♥loooove♥ it!

i don't really "do" layouts, as such, so i've made a birthday card which follows the rules (but feel free to disqualify me if cards aren't ok!) it is RIGHT HERE!
