Prompt 18: Altered Alphas

Welcome to Altered Alphas!!! You know here we're easy-peasy so I'll keep it short and sweet. Your challenge [should you choose to accept] is to get those alphas out, and freak 'em out: beat 'em, paint, poke 'em, glitter them - the only rule is to have FUN, and link us up!!!

I'd like to welcome our SUPER fabulous and creative guest designer: Julie Fei-Fan Balzer!!! This is one seriously talented girlie, and she doesn't limit herself to just scrapbooking. Seriously, if you haven't checked out her blog before, go there now--and be prepared for all sorts of crazy inspiration!!

Hi! I'm Julie. I go by "milk can" on most message boards. I tend to focus on the every day with pages that lean towards heavy journaling and lots of paint! I love art that looks handmade - lots of tearing and inking and handwriting and hand cutting. I'm also a technique and tool junkie, always trying to find a way to push my supplies further and see all the possibilities. Thanks for inviting me! This was tons of fun!

She was the perfect person to guest design for this prompt: check out this gorgeous piece of ART:
I bet you wanna know what the prize is for Prompt 18?! It's a kit from my class "Fun with Letters" (valued at $20.00) which was the inspiration behind this Prompt!

You'll get all kinds of supplies like paint, Pixie Stix glitter, Sharpie markers, duct tape, felt etc. to play, play, play with Hiedi Swapp chipboard letters! In this kit are instructions to make the following layouts. All of the letters are from the SAME package but altered in different ways.

But you don't have to create these layouts - you can create whatever you want! We would LOVE to see what the winner of this Prompt does with this prize!

Happy Scrapping!

Kent

Here is my take on the altered alphas...I glimmermisted the 'white letters' and ran out of E's so I used two number 3's...

I painted glittery alphas with white paint and dipped them in sand.
